Radius Arm: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the front tire and wheel assembly.
3. Remove nut, retainer and bushing from the rear of the tension strut.
4. Remove the stabilizer bar link from the tension strut.
5. Remove the jounce bumper/tension strut mounting nuts and bolts.
6. Remove the tension strut from the vehicle. Remove the bushing and inner retainer from the strut bar.
INSTALLATION
1. Position the inner retainer and bushing on the tension strut.
2. Install the tension strut through the frame rail hole.
3. Install jounce bumper/tension strut mounting bolts and nuts. Tighten the nuts to 136 Nm (100 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the rear bushing, retainer and nut on the tension strut. Tighten the nut to 71 Nm (52 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the stabilizer bar link to the tension strut.
6. Install wheel and tire assembly.
7. Remove support and lower the vehicle.
8. Check the wheel alignment
