Driver/Vehicle Information Display: Description and Operation
If an individual indicator lamp is inoperative, see the diagnostic procedure under the heading for that lamp. The message center printed circuit is only
serviced as a part of the heater-A/C control assembly If the printed circuit is faulty, the entire control assembly must be replaced. If more than one
indicator lamp is inoperative, perform the following:
1. Check the fuse in the fuseblock module. If OK, go to Step 2. If not OK, replace the faulty fuse.
2. Check for battery voltage at the fuse with the ignition switch in the On position. If OK, go to Step 3. If not OK, repair the open circuit from the
ignition switch.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the Off position. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable. Remove the instrument cluster bezel and the
message center assembly Unplug the message center wire harness connector.
4. Connect the battery negative cable. Turn the ignition switch to the On position. Check for battery voltage at the fused ignition switch output circuit
cavity of the message center wire harness connector. If OK, replace the faulty heater-A/C control assembly If not OK, repair the open circuit from
the fuse as required.
