RAM 2500 Truck 2WD L6-359 5.9L DSL Turbo VIN D FI (1997)
1. Start input bearing in front case bore. Verify that locating ring is installed on bearing. Note that bearing can only be installed from case exterior
because of the ring which controls depth of installation.
2. Seat input bearing in case. Use driver Handle C- 4171 and Installer C-4210, 5062, or 7828, or equivalent to install bearing. Seat bearing until
locating ring is flush against case.
3. Install new needle bearing in input gear with Driver Handle C-4171 and Installer 5065, or equivalents.
