2000-2001 (AN) Dodge Dakota Quad Cab Trucks (AN1L84 and AN5L84 models only)
NOTE:
This recall applies only to the above trucks built through March 23, 2001 (MDH 032313).
IMPORTANT:
Some of the involved vehicles may be in dealer new vehicle inventory. Federal law requires you to stop sale and complete this recall service on these
vehicles before retail delivery. Dealers should also consider this requirement to apply to used vehicle inventory and should perform this recall on
vehicles in for service. Involved vehicles can be determined by using the DIAL VIP System.
Subject
The lower front seat belt anchor bolts on about 100,000 of the above trucks may not have been properly tightened. This could allow increased risk of
injury to a front seat occupant in certain accident conditions.
Repair
Both lower front seat belt anchor bolts must be properly tightened.
