Bug Deflector Wind Whistle
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves installing foam tape to the bug deflector.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Some vehicles equipped with a factory installed hood mounted bug deflector may exhibit a whistling sound coming from the front of the vehicle.
DIAGNOSIS:
If customers experience the whistling sound and the vehicle is equipped with the bug deflector, perform the Repair Procedure.
PARTS REQUIRED:
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1.
Raise the hood and remove the bug deflector.
2.
Clean the bottom inside edge of the bug deflector with an appropriate solvent to remove any dirt or grease to assure that the weather strip tape will
adhere to the plastic (Fig. 1).
