A. Inspect Fuel Tube
1.
Raise the vehicle on an appropriate hoist.
2.
Remove the white plastic heat shield that covers the chassis fuel tube (Figure 1).
NOTE:
For 8.0L V-1O equipped vehicles, roll the shield up and above the exhaust pipe and then slide the shield forward to remove.
3.
Disconnect the three (3) fuel tube support clips.
4.
Remove the front and center attaching nuts for the metal heat shield (Figure 2).
5.
Inspect the fuel tube for damage from contact with the center heat shield bolt (Figure 2).
