Transmission Temperature Sensor - Circuit Operation
CIRCUIT OPERATION
The transmission temperature sensor is located in the transmission solenoid assembly in the valve body. The governor pressure sender and the
transmission fluid temperature thermistor are separate sensors in the same component. This component is attached to the governor body in the
solenoid assembly of the valve body. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) supplies 5 Volts to the sensor on circuit K7. Circuit T54 from the
sensor connects to cavity B1 of the PCM and provides the transmission temperature input. The PCM provides ground for the sensor on cavity K4.
The PCM grounds the transmission temperature warning lamp on circuit G14. Circuit G14 connects to cavity C7 of the PCM. The transmission
temperature warning lamp is located in the message center.
