If the fuse is NOT present, a fuel heater circuit wiring jumper and a cartridge fuse must be installed. Continue with Section B.

If the fuse is present, no further action is required. Install the PDC cover and return the vehicle to the customer

B. Install PDC Wiring Jumper and Fuse

1.

With the ignition key in the OFF position, disconnect the negative battery cable from both batteries.

Note:

To enhance customer satisfaction, remember to record all radio settings before disconnecting the battery and to reset all electronic memory (clock,
radio settings, etc.) when you have completed the service procedure.

Disconnect the engine in-line bolt-down connector located inside the PDC (Figure 2).

3.

Remove the fuel heater relay from the PDC (Figure 2).

4.

Remove the two (2) fasteners that attach the upper portion of the PDC to the inner fender.

5.

Open the six (6) latches around the perimeter of the PDC. Separate the upper part of the PDC from the lower cover to expose the PDC wiring
circuits.

NOTE: 

The lower cover of the PDC will remain attached to the vehicle when the upper part of the PDC is detached.

NOTE: 

Carefully cut the tape that secures the wiring bundle to the PDC and the lower cover.

Release the rear circuit holder locking tabs from the cavity # 7 fuse location on the underside of the PDC and remove the circuit holder.

NOTE: 

The rear cartridge fuse circuit holder only needs to be moved enough to clear the PDC.

Insert the male jumper wire connector into cavity # 7 of the cartridge fuse holder (Figure 2). Make sure that the terminal is locked into position by
gently pulling on the wire.

NOTE:

The terminal crimp must face toward the nearest edge of the PDC when properly installed.

8.

Reinstall the cartridge fuse rear circuit holder.

9.

Release the four (4) rear circuit holder locking tabs from the fuel heater relay on the underside of the PDC and remove the circuit holder.

CAUTION:

Be careful not to damage the heater relay rear circuit holder. Replace the rear circuit holder with the provided circuit holder if it is damaged during
