Service Procedure
1.
Inspect the low pressure fuel supply tube between the fuel filter and the fuel injection pump (Figure 1).

If the tube has a compression fitting in the center (Figure 1), it must be replaced. Continue with Step 2.

If the tube has a section of rubber hose in the center (Figure 1), the tube has already been replaced and no further action is necessary. Return
the vehicle to the customer.
2.
With the ignition key in the OFF position, disconnect the negative cable from both batteries.
Note:
To enhance customer satisfaction, remember to reset the clock when you have completed the service procedure.
3.
Disconnect the low pressure fuel supply tube from the fuel filter assembly (Figure 1). Save the banjo bolt and washers for reuse.
4.
Disconnect the low pressure fuel supply tube from the fuel injection pump (Figure 1). Save the banjo bolt and washers for reuse.
5.
Remove and discard the fuel tube.
