WARNING: Review the Service Precautions before leak testing the system.
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Recover the refrigerant from the refrigerant system.
3. Disconnect the refrigerant lines from the condenser. Install plugs in, or tape over all of the open refrigerant fittings.
4. Remove the screws that secure the condenser to the radiator supports.
5. Carefully remove the condenser from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION
1. Carefully position the condenser in the vehicle.
2. Install and tighten the screws that secure the condenser to 11 N.m (95 in. lbs.).
3. Remove the plugs or tape from the refrigerant fittings, and connect the refrigerant lines to the condenser.
4. Evacuate the refrigerant system.
5. Charge the refrigerant system as described.
6. Connect the battery negative cable.
NOTE: If the condenser is replaced, add 30 ml (1 oz.) of refrigerant oil to the refrigerant system.
