OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with new software (Cal 17 and Cal 18HD).

NOTE:
THIS INFORMATION APPLIES TO ALL 2000 AND 2001 (BR/BE) RAM TRUCKS BUILT PRIOR TO JANUARY 8, 2001 AND EQUIPPED
WITH THE V10 - 8.0L ENGINE (EWA).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Customer may complain that, while stopped, the vehicle will die out when started and shifted from park to reverse, park to drive.
DIAGNOSIS:
If Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's) are present, record them on the repair order and repair as necessary before proceeding further with this bulletin. If
the condition(s) can be duplicated or are described by the customer, perform the Repair Procedure.

Flash the PCM using the MDS2 (Mopar Diagnostic System) and DRB III(R) (Scan Tool).
