RAM 2500 Truck 4WD V10-8.0L VIN W HDC (2000)
2. Insert the bolts through back side of steering knuckle.
3. Position the brake shield on bolts just installed in knuckle.
4. Align hub with drive shaft and start shaft into hub splines.
5. Align bolt holes in hub bearing flange with bolts installed in knuckle. Then thread bolts into bearing flange.
6. Tighten hub bearing bolts to 166 Nm (122 ft. lbs.).
7. Install washer and axle hub nut and tighten to 245 Nm (180 fit. lbs.).
8. Install new cotter pin in hub nut. Tighten nut as needed to align cotter pin hole in shaft with opening in nut.
9. Install rotor, brake caliper with adapter.
10. Install ABS wheel speed sensor if equipped.
11. Install wheel and tire assemblies.
12. Remove support and lower the vehicle.
13. Apply brakes several times to seat brake shoes and caliper piston. Do not move vehicle until firm brake pedal is obtained.
