Vanity Lamp: Service and Repair

NOTE:  Vehicles equipped with optional vanity lamps have a mirror with a lamp that is integral to each sun visor. Each lamp is independently controlled
by an integral switch that is automatically actuated by the mirror cover. The bulb types and service procedures are identical for both of these lamps.

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Insert a small flat-bladed screwdriver on either side near the top or the bottom between the vanity lamp lens (2) and the lamp housing of the sun

visor (1).

3. Carefully pry the lens outward until it unsnaps from the lamp housing.

4. Using small needle-nose pliers, carefully grasp the bulb (2) and pull the base out of the lamp socket.

INSTALLATION

CAUTION:  Always use the correct bulb size and type for replacement. An incorrect bulb size or type may overheat and cause damage to the lamp, the
socket and/or the lamp wiring.
