Power Seat Track Vertical Adjustment Stuck In A Full Upward Or Full Downward Position.
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves removing existing lubrication on the power seat track adjustment lead screws and then applying a new lubricant.

1998 - 1999 (BR/BE) Ram Truck
NOTE:
THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO CLUB OR QUAD CAB VEHICLES BUILT BEFORE MARCH 1, 1999 (MDH 0301XX).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The front and/or rear power seat track vertical adjuster motors are stuck in a full upward or full downward position.
DIAGNOSIS:
1.
Verify the operation of both front and rear vertical power seat track adjusters.
2.
If any of the vertical power seat track positions do not function, remove the bolts attaching the seat cushion frame to the mounting brackets. The
bolts can be accessed from the underside of the seat (Figure 1). Position the seat cushion out of the way but leave the wire harness connector
connected.
