Blower Motor Relay: Service and Repair

FRONT (HIGH SPEED) BLOWER MOTOR RELAY
The high speed blower motor relay and wire harness connector are secured by a retainer molded into the connector, which is inserted into a hole on the
inboard side of the heater-A/C housing near the dash panel in the engine compartment.
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Unplug the relay from the wire harness connector.
3. To install the relay, align the terminals with the cavities in the relay wire harness connector and push the relay firmly into place.
4. Reverse the remaining removal procedures to complete the installation.
5. Test the relay operation.
REAR BLOWER MOTOR RELAY
The rear blower motor relay and wire harness connector are taped back to the main instrument panel wire harness, just above the right end of the
instrument cluster opening in the instrument panel.
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the instrument cluster from the instrument panel.
3. Carefully remove the tape that secures the relay and wire harness connector to the instrument panel main wire harness.
4. Unplug the relay from the wire harness connector.
5. To install the relay, align the terminals with the cavities in the relay wire harness connector and push the relay firmly into place.
6. Tape the relay and wire harness connector back to the instrument panel main wire harness.
7. Reverse the remaining removal procedures to complete the installation.
8. Test the relay operation.
