Fuel Pressure Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair
Fuel Low-Pressure Sensor
REMOVAL
WARNING: Natural gas must first be purged from the system before removal.
1. Remove the engine cover.
2. Purge fuel system.
3. Disconnect electrical connector at sensor.
4. Remove sensor from fuel rail. Use a backup wrench on the fuel rail to prevent damage to rail.
INSTALLATION
1. Apply a small amount of anaerobic thread sealant to pipe threads of the sensor only. Be extremely careful not to get any of thread sealant into any
fuel system opening. Use only an anaerobic thread sealant containing Teflon.
2. Install sensor to fuel rail.
3. Tighten sensor.
4. Connect electrical connector.
5. Check sensor for gas leaks.
6. Install engine cover.
