Front Door Latch: Service and Repair
Release Cable

RELEASE CABLE

REMOVAL

1. Remove the trim panel.
2. Peel back waterdam to access door latch.
3. Pull inside handle to activate front door latch to full open position.
4. With door latch in full open position, disengage release cable from latch.
5. Remove inside handle.
6. Disengage release cable from handle.
7. Separate cable from door.

INSTALLATION

1. Install release cable on handle.
2. Install inside handle.
3. Position front door latch in full open position.
4. Install release cable on latch.
5. Reposition the waterdam.
6. Install the trim panel.
