Rear Door Hinge: Service and Repair
Rear Cargo Door
HINGE
REMOVAL
1. Remove the interior trim panel for access to the door pillar hinge screws.
2. Using a grease pencil or equivalent, mark the outline of the hinge-halves on the door for installation reference.
3. Support the door with a padded floor jack or equivalent lifting device.
4. Remove the door pillar hinge screws.

5. Remove the door hinge screws and remove the hinge from the door and the door pillar (Fig. 13).
INSTALLATION
1. Clean the hinge in a suitable solvent and blow dry with compressed air.
2. Color coat the hinge to match the body color.
3. Position the hinge on the door. Install the door hinge screws finger-tight.
4. Install the door pillar hinge screws finger-tight.
5. Align the hinge-halves with the installation reference marks.
6. Tighten the hinge screws to 23 N.m (200 in. lbs.) torque.
7. Remove the floor jack from the door.
8. Adjust the door as necessary.
9. Install the interior trim panel.
