Rear Door Limiter: Service and Repair
CHECK STRAP
REMOVAL
1. Remove trim panel.

2. Remove the pin at the inner end of the check arm (Fig. 12).
3. Remove rubber bumper.
4. Open door until the check arm disengages from the guide.
5. Remove the screws attaching the check arm to the hinge pillar.
6. If necessary, remove the nuts attaching the guide to the door.
INSTALLATION
1. Position the check arm at the hinge pillar, ensure the spring is facing downward and install the screws.
2. If removed, position the guide in the door and install the nuts.
3. Carefully, close the door while routing the check arm through the guide.
4. Install the rubber bumper on the check arm.
5. Install the pin in the check arm.
6. Install the trim panel.
