Hydraulic Control Assembly - Antilock Brakes: Service and Repair
Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) Replacement
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the windshield washer reservoir and coolant recovery reservoir.
3. Remove Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) protective cover.
4. Disconnect Controller Antilock Brake (CAB) harness and mounting bolts and remove CAB.
5. Disconnect HCU harness connectors.
HCU Brakelines
6. Disconnect brake lines from HCU.
7. Remove drivers side fender extension under headlamp.
Horn Mounting & HCU Access Panel
8. Remove horn mounting/HCU access panel.
