Engine Mount: Service and Repair
Rear Mount
ENGINE MOUNT-HEAR
REMOVAL
(1) Raise vehicle on a hoist.
(2) Position transmission jack and raise rear of transmission and engine SLIGHTLY.

(3) Remove rear mount through-bolt and nut (Fig. 31).
(4) Remove U-shaped bracket from the frame crossmember. Remove the insulator from the U-shaped bracket (Fig. 31).
(5) Remove rear engine support from the bottom face of transmission extension housing.
INSTALLATION
(1) Attach the rear engine support to the bottom face of transmission extension housing. Tighten the bolts to 68 Nm (50 ft. lbs.) torque.
(2) Install insulator on the U-shaped bracket. Tighten the nuts to 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.) torque.
(3) Install the through-bolt through the insulator and U-bracket assembly and the rear engine support. Tighten the through-bolt nut to 68 Nm (50 ft.
lbs.) torque.
(4) Attach the U-shaped bracket to the crossmember. Tighten the attaching bolts to 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.) torque.
(5) Remove the transmission jack.
(6) Lower the vehicle.
