Recirculation Air Door Remove/Install
4. Remove the two screws that secure the recirculation housing outside air inlet upper flange to the cowl side panel.
5. From the passenger compartment, reach through the instrument panel glove box opening to access and remove the two stamped nuts that secure
the recirculation housing studs to the dash panel, above the recirculation air inlet openings.
6. From the passenger compartment, reach through the instrument panel glove box opening to access and remove the four screws that secure the
recirculation housing to the dash panel below and on each side of the recirculation air inlet openings.
7. From the engine compartment, lift the recirculation housing upward to disengage the outside air inlet lower flange from the retainer on the cowl
side panel, then pull the housing toward the front of the vehicle far enough to disengage the two studs on the recirculation air inlet upper flange
from the holes in the dash panel above the recirculation air inlet openings.

INSPECTION
Examine all of the recirculation housing seals for damage. Replace all damaged or deformed seals. Clean all of the recirculation housing mounting
flanges and apply new sealant prior to reassembly.
Inspect the recirculation housing components for damage. Repair or replace any faulty or damaged components as required. Remove any foreign
material or other restrictions to air flow.
INSTALLATION
1. Position the recirculation housing in the engine compartment. Be certain that the two studs on the recirculation air inlet upper flange are inserted
through the proper holes in the dash panel above the recirculation air inlet openings, and that the outside air inlet lower flange engages the retainer
on the cowl side panel.
