Pitman Arm: Service and Repair
NOTE: Use care to avoid damaging the seals when removing steering components.
REMOVAL
1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove cotter pins and retaining nuts from the tie-rod end, idler arm and pitman arm.
3. Remove the outer tie-rod end from the steering knuckle arm and.
4. Remove inner tie-rod end from the center link.
5. Remove idler arm from the center link.
6. Remove idler arm bolts from the frame brackets and remove idler arms.
7. Remove drag link ball studs from the pitman arm and center link.
