Cleaning
CLEANING
Using a suitable solvent, Clean and dry gasket mating surfaces on cylinder head and rocker housing. Wipe gasket dry and inspect for re-use.
Inspection
INSPECTION
The cylinder head cover gasket and rocker housing gasket, are reusable. However, should cracks, nicks, or tears be present in the rubber/silicone
construction, the defective components should be replaced. Also replace gasket if it is no longer flexible. Inspect cylinder head cover rubber isolated
capscrews for cracks, nicks, or tears.Do not reuse gasket if it has been removed from the groove in the rocker housing or cylinder head cover.
