Glove Box Lamp Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Open the glove box door until the stops within the bin rest against the instrument panel glove box opening.
3. Grasp the lamp and switch unit by the switch plunger and pull firmly outward. The lamp and switch unit are retained in the mounting hole of the

latch striker by a light snap fit.

4. Unplug the wire harness connector from the lamp and switch unit.
5. Push in on the bulb and twist it clockwise to remove it from the lamp socket.

NOTE:  Tuck the wire harness that was exposed by the lamp and switch removal procedure back into the recess behind the lamp. Do not leave the
wire harness exposed in the glove box latch area.

6. Reverse the removal procedures to install.
