6.

Start the engine and check for any pressure line assembly transmission fluid leaks.

7.

Check the transmission fluid level and adjust as necessary.

Service Procedure For 1994 BR Trucks

1.

Locate and identify the transmission cooler pressure line assembly (Figure 4).

2.

Disconnect the transmission fluid cooler pressure hose quick connect assembly from the radiator. Follow the Procedure to Separate Quick
Connects.

3.

Disconnect the transmission cooler tube bracket from the right front lower corner of the engine.

4.

Raise the vehicle on an appropriate hoist.

5.

Disconnect the exhaust pipe from the engine exhaust manifolds, then lower the front of the exhaust pipe.

6.

Disconnect the transmission shift lever.

7.

Remove the transmission cooler pressure tube from the two (2) remaining tube clips.

8.

For Snow Plow Prep Package V8 Equipped vehicles: Disconnect the transmission cooler pressure tube thermistor electrical connector and remove
the thermistor.

9.

Disconnect the transmission cooler pressure tube from the transmission. Remove and discard the cooler pressure tube and hose assembly.

NOTE: 

If the transmission cooler pressure tube has been modified and the vehicle is equipped with a cold weather by-pass kit, the new tube must be installed
and modified to fit the by-pass kit per TSB 21-03-95 Revision A. A new 3/8" compression sleeve may be obtained locally to seal the new tube.
Proceed to Step 13.

10.

Remove quick connect fitting from the transmission and discard.

11.

Install the provided rear tube nut fitting into the transmission. Tighten the fitting to 225 in-lbs (25 N.m).

12.

Install the provided transmission cooler pressure tube and hose assembly. Tighten the rear tube nut to 210 in-lbs (24 N.m).

13.

Install the new tube into the two (2) tube clips.

14.

For Snow Plow Prep Package V8 Equipped vehicles: Remove and discard the plug from the pressure tube sensor boss. Coat the previously
removed thermistor threads with Mopar Thread Sealant with Teflon, PN 4318034 (6 ml) or PN 4318044 (50 ml), then install the thermistor.
Tighten the thermistor to 156 in-lbs (18 N.m). Connect the thermistor electrical connector.

15.

Connect the exhaust pipe to the exhaust manifolds.

16.

Connect the transmission shift lever.
