Evaporator Core: Service and Repair
A/C Evaporator - Removal
REMOVAL
1. Remove the HVAC housing and place it on a workbench See: Housing Assembly HVAC/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/HVAC
Housing - Removal.
2. Disassemble the HVAC housing to access the A/C evaporator (3)See: Housing Assembly HVAC/Service and Repair/Overhaul/HVAC Housing -
Disassembly.
NOTE: If the foam seal for the A/C evaporator tubes is deformed or damaged, the seal must be replaced.
3. Remove the foam seal (1) from around the tubes of the A/C evaporator.
4. Carefully lift the A/C evaporator out of the upper half of the HVAC housing (2).
