Transmission Speed Sensor: Service and Repair
Speed Sensor - Installation
Output Speed Sensor
OUTPUT SPEED SENSOR
NOTE: Apply trans jell to all slide portions, rolling contacts surfaces, thrust surfaces etc. to prevent burnout during initial operation.
Lubricate O-rings and O-ring seals with MOPAR(R) AS68RC ATF. Soak all friction disks in MOPAR(R) AS68RC ATF for at least
two hours before assembly of clutch packs.
OUTPUT SPEED SENSOR
1. Lubricate the output speed sensor o-ring with MOPAR(R) AS68RC ATF.
2. Install the output speed sensor into the transmission case.
3. Tighten the bolt to 8 Nm (70 in.lbs.).
4. Install the wiring connector onto the output speed sensor.
5. Lower vehicle.
6. Verify the transmission fluid level. Add MOPAR(R) AS68RC ATF as necessary.
