Fuel Pressure Sensor/Switch: Testing and Inspection
The sensor has a 3-wire connector. One pin will supply the 5-volt output from the powertrain control module (PCM) with ignition ON and is used to
power the sensor. The second pin is used to ground the sensor through the PCM. The third pin is used to send an output signal from the sensor to the
PCM. Sensor operating pressure-versus-voltage at this third pin is 1/2 volt at 0 psi to 4 1/2 volts at 150 psi. If sensor has a shorted circuit, 0 volts will
be observed. If sensor has open circuit, 5 volts will be observed.
