Heat-A/C & Heat-Defrost Door Vacuum Actuator Replacement

HEAT-A/C DOOR VACUUM ACTUATOR
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the instrument panel hood and bezel assembly. Refer to: "Instrument Panel Gauges and Warning Indicators : Instrument Panel :
Service and Repair" See: Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators/Instrument Cluster / Carrier/Service and Repair
3. Remove the radio.
4. Remove the glove box bin.
5. Note the color and orientation of the vacuum harness connectors at the vacuum actuator for correct reinstallation. Unplug the vacuum harness
connectors from the actuator.
6. Remove the retaining clip from the heat-A/C door crank arm.
7. Remove the two nuts that secure the actuator to the air distribution duct and remove the actuator.
8. Reverse the removal procedures to install.
HEAT-DEFROST DOOR VACUUM ACTUATOR
1. Remove the air distribution duct.
2. Note the color and orientation of the vacuum harness connectors at the actuator for correct reinstallation. Unplug the vacuum harness connectors
from the actuator
3. Remove the screws that secure the actuator to the air distribution duct and remove the actuator.
4. Remove the retaining clip from the heat-defrost door crank arm.
5. Remove the actuator.
6. Reverse the removal procedures to install.
