Make sure curb idle speed is within the specified speed and reset it by readjusting the speed adjusting screws (SAS 1) if necessary. (see Figure 1).
3.
Switch the air conditioning system ON.
4.
Adjust the engine speed to the specified speed with the throttle opener setting screw (SAS 2) - Figure 1.
5.
Reconnect cooling fan connector.
6.
Turn the air conditioner switch ON/OFF several times to check the throttle opener for operation (lever up/down).

The throttle opener system shall be adjusted, under the following conditions, according to the setting procedures described below:

Setting conditions:

Coolant temperature 185 to 205~F (85 to 95~C)
^
All lights and accessOFF ories
^
Transaxle Neutral
^
Electric fan for OFF (disconnect cooling fan radiator connector)
^
Parking brake Apply
^
On vehicles with power steering, set the tires in the straight ahead position to prevent the pump from being loaded.
