Customer expresses need for longer rear seat belts, such as to accommodate a child restraint seat.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

The following procedure involves removing the retractor mechanism end of the rear seat belts and replacing them with belts that are approximately 8"
(200 mm) longer.

1.

Replace the retractor mechanism end of both right and left seat belt assemblies per the service manual procedure.

NOTE:

THE LONGER BELTS WILL BE ADDED TO ALL RAM RAIDERS AS OF THE BEGINNING OF THE 1988 MODEL
YEAR.
