Differential Axle Housing: Service and Repair

1. Raise and support vehicle then remove engine undercover.
2. Remove knuckle assembly refer to STEERING KNUCKLE.
3. Remove drive axle refer to Transmission and Drivetrain/Drive Axles, Bearings and Joints/Axle Shaft, Conventional Fixed/Floating/Service
and Repair.
4. Pull inner shaft from differential carrier. When removing axle shaft from differential, ensure splines on shaft do not damage oil seals.
5. Remove inner shaft housing tube attaching nuts and bolts.
6. Remove inner shaft housing.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
