Oil Pan and Oil Pump

1.

Remove oil pan and pump in numbered sequence shown.

2.

Inspect oil pump as follows: 
a.

Check parts of the oil pump case for damage and cracks.

Check oil pump rotor to body clearance. Body clearance should be 0.0039 - 0.0071 inch and side clearance should be 0.0016 - 0.0037 inch.
