Water Pump: Service and Repair

1.
Drain engine coolant into a suitable container.
2.
Release fuel system pressure as follows:
a.
Disconnect fuel pump connector at fuel tank.
b.
Start engine and allow to stop by its self.
c.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
3.
Remove timing belt as outlined under TIMING BELT.
4.
Replace water pump in numbered sequence shown in Fig. 14, ensuring water pump O-ring is properly positioned.
5.
Reverse procedure to install.
