Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Service and Repair

Idle Speed Control (ISC) Operation Test I

REMOVAL

1.

Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.

Disconnect the air hoses from the Idle Speed Control (ISC) motor.

3.

Remove the throttle body.  

4.

Disconnect the ISC motor electrical connector.

5.

Remove the bolts securing the ISC motor to the throttle body.

INSTALLATION

1.

Install the ISC motor on the throttle body and tighten the bolts.

2.

Connect the ISC motor electrical connector.

3.

Install the throttle body and tighten the bolts.

4.

Connect the air hoses to the ISC motor, connect the negative battery cable and check operation.
