Accelerator Pedal: Service and Repair
Accelerator Cable
REMOVAL OF ACCELERATOR CABLE
1.
Remove the accelerator cable adjusting bolts.
2.
Disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle arm.
3.
Remove the accelerator cable mounting bolts.
4.
Remove the accelerator cable.
REMOVAL OF ACCELERATOR PEDAL
1.
Remove the bushing and inner cable from the accelerator arm.
2.
Remove the accelerator arm bracket bolts.
3.
Remove cotter pin, bracket and spring.
4.
Remove the pedal and spring.
INSTALLATION
1.
When installing the return spring and accelerator arm, apply multi-purpose grease around each moving point of the accelerator arm.
2.
Install accelerator arm and bracket.
3.
Install pedal and spring.
4.
install cotter pin and return spring.
5.
Install accelerator arm bracket bolts and tighten securely.
6.
Install the cable and test operation.
