Disassembly Of The Gear Select Lever

Checking The Sensor Continuity

1.

With the gear select lever in the PARK position, verify continuity between terminals # 3 and # 4.

2.

Shift the gear select lever to REVERSE, verify continuity between terminals # 1 and # 2.

3.

Shift the gear select lever to NEUTRAL, verify continuity between terminals # 3 and # 4.

If continuity is measured at any other position than instructed, replace the Inhibitor Switch.
