Seat Belt Motor: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Remove A-pillar and roof rail trim. Remove B-pillar trim for the 4-door and rear seat, and quarter trim panel for the 2-door.
2. Disconnect drive motor wiring connector.
3. Remove drive motor attaching nut.
4. Remove drive unit attaching clip screws located between drive motor and lock box.
5. Remove rail A-pillar bracket attaching screws.
6. Remove rail attaching screws.
7. Remove lock box attaching screws.
INSTALLATION
1. Align rail attaching holes with body attaching holes. Attach rail to body, using Xmas fastener located approximately midrail.
2. Install motor assembly to body, using hooks on motor assembly bracket.
3. Connect drive motor wiring connector to body wiring harness.
4. Install drive motor attaching nut.
5. Hand start 2 lock box attaching screws.
6. Tighten 2 lock box screws.
7. Install forward most rail end to A-pillar bracket.
8. Install remaining 2 rail attaching screws.
9. Install drive cable attaching clip screws.
10. Install A-pillar roof rail and B-pillar trim for the 4-door and A-pillar, roof rail, quarter trim panel, and rear seat for 2-door.
