Wiper Switch: Service and Repair

Disable airbag, refer to Air Bags and Seat Belts/Air Bags (Supplemental Restraint Systems)/Service and Repair. After procedure has been
completed, rearm airbag system.
On models equipped with a multi-function switch refer to Vehicle Lighting/Headlamp/Headlamp Switch/Service and Repair.
1. Disconnect battery ground cable and remove steering wheel, STEERING SUSPENSION CHASSIS AND BODY
COMPONENTS/STEERING/COMPONENT R&R PROCEDURES/STEERING WHEEL.
2. On models equipped with intermittent wiper system, remove two screws attaching turn signal lever cover to lock housing and the turn signal
lever cover.
3. On all models, remove screw attaching windshield wiper switch and switch.
4. Reverse procedure to install.
