Fuel Injector: Service and Repair
Fuel Injector Replacement

WARNING:  The fuel system is under constant pressure, even when the engine is OFF. Always release fuel pressure before servicing any fuel
system component.   

NOTE: The fuel injector is mounted on top of the throttle body, and is covered by a cap.

REMOVAL

1. Remove air cleaner and release fuel system pressure.  See: Fuel Filter/Fuel Pressure Release/Service and Repair
2. Disconnect negative battery cable.

3. Remove the screw holding down the injector cap, and using 2 small screwdrivers, lift the cap off the injector (Fig. 1).
