Rear Alignment
Due to the design of the rear suspension and the incorporation of stub axles or wheel spindles, it is possible to adjust the camber and toe of the rear
wheels on these models. Adjustment is controlled by adding shims approximately 0.010 inch thick between the spindle mounting surface and spindle
mounting plate. The amount of adjustment is approximately 0.3° per shim. Proceed as follows:
1. Remove wheel and tire assembly.
2. Pry off grease cap, then remove cotter pin and castle lock.
3. Remove adjusting nut, then remove brake drum.
4. Loosen, but do not remove brake assembly and spindle mounting bolts enough to allow clearance for shim installation.
