1. Loosen locknut and back off nut approximately five turns, Fig. 2.
2. Ensure adjusting screw turns freely in transaxle case.
3. Using wrench tool No. C-3880-A and adapter tool No. C-3705 or equivalents, torque band adjusting screw to 47-50 lb-in. If adapter tool No.
C-3705 is not used, torque adjusting screw to 72 lb-in.
4. Back off adjusting screw 2 1/2 turns. Torque locknut to 35 lb-ft, while preventing adjusting screw from turning.
