NOTE:
THIS BULLETIN DOES NOT APPLY TO 1992-1993 SHADOW CONVERTIBLE OR LEBARON CONVERTIBLE.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Some vehicles may exhibit a "Clicking/Snapping" noise from the left side of the engine compartment while accelerating or decelerating from a stop. This
noise is more prevalent when the engine compartment is hot.

DIAGNOSIS:

1.

With the windows closed and engine running, apply a load to the engine while in drive (first) with the parking brake applied.

2.

Release the load and shift into reverse.

3.

While applying a load in reverse, with the brakes applied, listen for the "Clicking/Snapping" noise.

4.

If noise cannot be heard, or the vehicle is equipped with a manual transaxle, drive the vehicle at low speeds with several quick, but not hard
acceleration and deceleration moves.

5.

If the noise is heard, proceed with the following repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This bulletin involves replacing the left engine support with a revised one.

1.

Remove the left engine support as outlined in the appropriate service manual.

2.

Install the appropriate revised left engine support as outlined in the appropriate service manual. Tighten the long support bolt to 55 FT.LBS. (+5 to
-10 FT.LBS.).
