Differential Pressure Switch: Service and Repair
Boost Pressure Transducer
1.
De-pressurize the system as outlined in "De-Pressurizing Hydraulic Accumulator" under "Precautions."
2.
Raise and support vehicle.
3.
Disconnect hydraulic assembly wiring harness connectors from the dual function pressure switch and boost pressure transducer.
4.
Remove dual function pressure switch using socket tool No. 6607 or equivalent.
5.
Remove boost pressure transducer using socket tool No. 6684 or equivalent.
6.
Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Torque boost pressure transducer and dual function pressure switch to 106 inch lbs.
b. Turn ignition switch to the On position to pressurize the system and check for leaks.
c. De-pressurize the system check fluid level, then repressurize the system to purge any air out of the hydraulic assembly. Refer to procedure
found in "De-Pressurizing Hydraulic Accumulator" under "Precautions" to properly de-pressurize the system.
d. Road test the vehicle to ensure system is operating normally.
