Fuel Injector: Service and Repair

1.

Release pressure from fuel system as previously described.

2.

Disconnect battery ground cable.

3.

Remove inlet chamber-to-throttle attaching screws.

4.

Remove vacuum hose between pressure regulator and throttle body. Place a clean towel around fuel inlet chamber to avoid fuel leakage.

5.

Remove fuel inlet chamber and injector from throttle body, Fig. 4.

6.

Remove injector from fuel inlet chamber.

7.

Remove O-rings, snap ring, seal and washer from injector.

8.

Reverse procedure to install, using new O-rings, washer and seal. Torque fuel inlet chamber attaching screws to 35 inch lbs.
