Rollover/Pressure Relief Valve: Service and Repair
Pressure Relief/Roll Over Valve
REMOVAL
1.
Remove the fuel filler cap, and release fuel system pressure. See: Fuel Filter/Fuel Pressure Release/Service and Repair
2.
Remove the fuel tank. See: Fuel Tank/Service and Repair/Fuel Tank Replacement
3.
Slide the blade of a screwdriver between the rubber mounting grommet and the fuel tank, making sure not to slide the screwdriver between the
roll-over valve and grommet. Use a second screwdriver to brace the first and pry the roll-over valve out of the tank.
4.
Remove the grommet from the valve, and make sure there is no damage or wear evident on the grommet. If grommet is worn it must be replaced.

INSTALLATION
1.
Install the rubber grommet into the fuel tank, and seat it around the curled lip of the tank.
2.
Lubricate the grommet with power steering fluid only, and push roll-over valve into grommet until properly seated. Twist grommet if necessary to
align in correct position.
3.
Install fuel tank. See: Fuel Tank/Service and Repair/Fuel Tank Replacement
