Servicing the center bolt or key with an old design crankshaft (two keyway slots):

Use an old design center bolt, p/n 05073696AA, and key, p/n 05073998AA.
Servicing the center bolt or key with a new design crankshaft (one keyway slot):
^
Use a new design center bolt, p/n 68002040AA, and key, p/n 05170759AA.
CAUTION:
The new and old center bolts are not interchangeable even if they fit physically. Using a new design center bolt on an old design crankshaft may
result in severe damage.

CAUTION:
Be sure to use the correct center bolt: "10.9" marking on the center bolt head must be used with an old design crankshaft (with a two slot keyway) or
"1150" marking on the center bolt head with the new design crankshaft (with a single slot keyway).
1.
Always install a new crankshaft center bolt.
2.
Is the crankshaft center bolt head marking "10.9" or "1150"?
a.
"10.9" >> go to Step # 3. b. "1150" >> go to Step # 6.
3.
Tighten the center bolt to 325 N.m (240 lbs. ft.).
