1. Remove front grill.
2. Remove heat guard (2).
3. Remove retaining clips (3) and rubber mount (4).
4. Remove mounting clip (arrow) on headlamp. In the case of headlamp with additional mounting clip as of October 2000. Mounting clip is only

necessary for code ZJ9, NAFTA national version.

5. Unscrew screws from lock cross member (1).
6. Remove lock cross member (1) and unhook hood release cable (5).
7. Install in the reverse order.
