Condenser Fan: Service and Repair
Plumbing - Rear
Removal
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the screws that secure the rear condenser cover to the top of the vehicle and remove the cover.
3. Disconnect the two wire harness connectors (1) located on the left side rear condenser mounting bracket (2).
4. Remove the six nuts and washers (2 and 6) that secure the rear condenser fan unit (1) to the two rear condenser mounting brackets (4 and 7) and to
the two condenser fan brackets (3 and 5).
5. Remove the rear condenser fan unit. If required, remove the two condenser fan brackets.
Installation
INSTALLATION
NOTE: Be certain that each of the rear condenser air seals are installed in their proper locations on the rear A/C condenser. These air seals are required
for the rear A/C system to perform as designed.
1. If replacing the rear A/C condenser, install new seals around the edge of the condenser to assure a good seal between the condenser and the rear
condenser fan unit (1).
